This afternoon the delightful emmarie unexpectedly showed up at our Luna Pier Dog House for a Flint-style coney and a chat. While I wish we could have chatted more, it was certainly great to see her and to get her some of our home-cooked food.

An FYI, we're open from 7 a.m. till 10 p.m., closing for inclement weather, with me taking the morning shift and switching with Caleb between 2 and 3. Y'all are certainly welcome to come up for a visit!

By request of Lady Emily [ ;-) ] here are the few ceremony pics that happened to turn out decently:

The wedding party and some of the guests. Click on this pic for a larger version.

David, Bride's Bro, and Amy, Bride's Mum.

Jim, Bride's Paw, and Beth, the Bride's ... er ... Bride.

Beth, after the ceremony ... IMHO, the most seriously cool pic of the bunch.
Everybody go, "Awwwwwwwwwwww ..."

Following up on my earlier post about pics from Beth and Nick's wedding last night being on my Luna Pier Cook blog, here are a few pics you likely won't see anywhere else.

The pics are after the jump ...Collapse )

There are a few pics of the food at Beth and Nick's reception here, including one photo of "The Three Amigos" pose.

Yeah, I know, I should post in here more often. I'm thinking maybe this summer when Caleb and I are operating the concession at the Luna Pier Beachhouse, I might just do that.

I've posted a pic and a story about Monique Schoonen over on my LunaPierCook blog on BlogsMonroe.com. Those who know and love her, head on over and check it out.

EggsRDangerous, Mary & I hope you're feeling better this morning!

I've been blogging as LunaPierCook now for about eleven months. The blog has a cool new look now since they finally let me decorate last week! And I've gotten considerably better at food photography as well. As I just passed 20,000 page views per month there's a little pressure to maintain the pace and the quality.

However, things took a jump these past few days. I'm now also the food blogger for MLive.com out of Ann Arbor, and my new statewide blog Michigan Appetite got its first exposure to MLive readers today. As there's no official announcment yet, readers are few and far between. But that'll happen. Getting the prime spot on MLive's Food page this morning was a bit unnerving. Still, there's no screaming yet.

I'll be keeping the content of the two blogs separate ... meaning I have to work at blogging twice as hard now.

Wasn't blogging supposed to be easy??? ;-)

Love to all of you ... stay in touch!

No, I haven't blogged here in a while. Yes, I blog on a regular basis somewhere else. And as I'll be covering for Aaron on his Teen Tech blog at the same somewhere else while he's up north for the summer, and as so many other things are gearing up as well, I'm afraid I'm going to have to let this LunaPierTech blog fade into memory. I'll have to snag some things off it first of course ...

You are all important to me, from the one with the dangerous eggs, to the one who thinks liking dresses is too girlie for a girl, to the one who ditched blogging for some guy just because he gave her a diamond, to that one with a permanent reference to the ROTC, to the one with the dog named for John Deere ...

Please, y'all, just read me somewhere else where I'm sometimes blogging two-and-three times each day. While I may go elsewhere within there on occasion, I ain't goin' anywhere.

You'll know where to find me.

Wow, it's been a month since I posted in here. But how many are actually still reading this one? Daisy would normally give me a 'nudge' if I hadn't posted for a week. This time she waited more than four weeks before that nudge came.

It's been a busy month.

Lots of stuff going on with the family, Mary's side, that is. We try to keep people up-to-date, but if we've missed you, lemme know and I'll fill you in. It's very sad, very sad indeed. I try to help her out, help her through what's going on, but of course, sometimes, I do wonder if I'm doing enough for her. Gotta go make her breakfast in a few ...

My other blog just keeps getting more popular. It's weird to walk into City Hall and watch the City Administer admonish the employees to read my stuff, and tell them where to find it, giving it an impromptu glowing review, me just standing there, face turning red ... Chef Tad from the Frog Leg Inn has gotten involved in it, too, quite voluntarily, and it's a whole lot of fun. BTW, there's a contest coming up over there on LunaPierCook with an actual prize ...

My Aaron used to blog over here on LiveJournal, too. But now he's also at the Monroe News blog community as well, writing a blog called Teen Tech. Yeah, sometimes I have to nudge him, but normally not ... It was funny though. He just popped up over there one day. I had no clue it was going to happen. His mom had even co-signed the contract since he's only 17 ...

So, anyway, I'm not ignoring the web but my focus has shifted. You can still find me, and Aaron, and leave us comments and snide remarks as usual. Oh, there's another fun thing; this past week I took over as webmaster for the Frog Leg Inn. So much food, so little time ...

Sunday Dinners with that Gardner bunch? That's just some of my real relaxation.

Check the cooking blog I write on the Monroe News web site for details about things that happened this morning ... and how Mary Beth at 101.5 The River gave me a boost that helped me finish a very nasty drive to work.
